The Parish Council has been notified that due to Health and Safety reasons the developers of the Lavington Lane site will be shortly fencing off all unlawful accesses of the site – from houses along the western boundary (Eastfield) and the entrance to the site by Sandfield Road and the north east corner (Cornbury Mill) to prevent children and the general public crossing the site.
Instead, they will fence the public footpath along the southern boundary so children walking to school can use that to link up to the bridleway which exits by Cornbury Mill and still get to the schools.
The map below shows the legal right of way across the field which will be fenced to ensure safe passage for those using the WLAV13 and WLAV29 footpaths to access Sandfield/DAPS from the Market Lavington direction.
